Thanks for reading and responding - it's interesting for me to hear from someone further along. I do wonder whether it will become trickier for my daughter as she gets older (I don't want her to get bored/ feel held back).

I think the main thing is that they're still interested in something and have the space to pursue their passions (whether that's reading or drawing or sports or whatever!).

(( and my daughter also just likes pictures, and much prefers me reading to her! She'll read on her own with those big science/fact books though.))
